Meet Our Team

James Spencer, Jr., Senior Vice President

Jim is a graduate of the University of Alabama. He began his insurance career with the Travelers in 1981 as a Claim Representative and by 1988 was Senior Supervisor. Jim joined Bankers & Shippers Insurance Company and in February 1991 being named Assistant Director of Strategic Claims. His duties included overseeing all of the litigation involving policyholders and lawsuits against the company. In April 1996, Jim assumed the in-house claim position for Connecticut Specialty Insurance Group at the W.E. Love & Associates office in Burlington. In June 1998, accepted the position of claims manager for INSpire Insurance Solutions.

Jim co-founded TruckClaims in 1999. Since joining the firm, his duties continue to include overseeing our professional claim staff, monitoring all claims, DCC expenses, complying with statistical reporting requirements and communicating with MGA’s, brokers, reinsurers, and policyholders on a systematic basis. Jim has received several claim achievement awards and the AIM designation.

Larue Sox, Vice President

LaRue, our 2003 Employee of the Year, attended Alamance Community College. LaRue further attended Vale Tech, where she studied truck and heavy equipment appraisals. LaRue started her insurance career in 1977 at Seaboard Underwriters and worked there until February 1996. While at Seaboard, she held the position of Claims Representative handling physical damage and cargo losses exclusively. LaRue was named Region 11 Claims Woman of the Year by the National Association of Insurance Women in 1995. In 1996, she accepted a position with First State Management/Lancer Insurance Company as Claims Supervisor for all of their Material Damage claims. In June of 1998, LaRue joined INspire Insurance Solutions as their Material Damage Supervisor. Her duties include the handling of Material Damage and Cargo losses.

LaRue joined TruckClaims after its initial formation and remains lead claim representative for physical damage and motor truck cargo losses.

Linda McCullough, Team Leader

Linda began her career with Allstate in 1980 while attending Hofstra University. She received Allstate’s “Chairman’s Award” and several “Customer Service Excellence Awards during her ten (10) years with Allstate in the position of Claims Representative. In 1994 she accepted a position with Atlanta Casualty Insurance as a Sr. Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster. With over 27 years of insurance experience, Linda is our Team Leader for commercial auto programs.

Bob Maples, Claims Examiner

With over 30 years litigation management experience, Bob joined TruckClaims as senior litigation claim examiner. Bob developed and honed his litigation management skills while at Home Insurance Company in Detroit, Michigan and has implemented our hands-on, direct litigation protocols for our S.I.R. clients. Bob directs and supervises all defense containment activities and attends all critical Discovery proceedings to assure action plans result in cost-effective claim resolutions.


Donna Miller, Claims Examiner

Donna attended Alamance Community College. She began her career in claims in 1977 as a claim assistant in the claims department of Bankers & Shippers Insurance Company. After successfully accomplishing the department’s administrative needs, she joined the claim staff handling Redland Commercial Auto claims nationwide. In June of 1999, she joined TruckClaims and handles commercial auto claims nationwide with emphasis on bobtail/deadhead claims



Monika Ousley, Claims Examiner

Monika is a graduate of Elon University and began her insurance career in 1995 as a claims technical assistant. In 1998, she became a claims clerical supervisor and later a claims representative, handling commercial auto liability claims with Redlands Transportation. Monika has over 8 years experience in handling both physical damage and commercial auto liability claims.

In November 2001, she joined TruckClaims, Inc. as claim examiner handling physical damage and fast-trak commercial auto liability claims.

Sharla Percell, Claims Examiner

Sharla recently joined TruckClaims as fast-trak bodily injury claim examiner. Sharla has over 8 years proven track records of empathetic claim approach reducing the average indemnity payments and DCC payments.

Our clients have come to rely upon Sharla’s 1st call settlement skills to achieve their specific S.I.R. goals and objectives.
